President Trump continues to resist calls for a nationwide stay-at-home order, preferring instead to leave such decisions up to state leaders. U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams has similarly resisted such calls, saying that “we live in a nation that has a system of federalism, and the governors get to make the decisions.”
