Since 2008, the University of Michigan and Muhlenberg College have conducted the National Surveys on Energy and the Environment, a survey on attitudes toward energy and climate policy. This part of the survey reports on American beliefs about which governmental level should bear the responsibility for addressing climate change, and how urgently the responders believe such action is needed.
