The U.S. Supreme Court has taken up an appeal of whether Tennessee’s residency requirement for alcohol vendors violates the dormant Commerce Clause. Tennessee contends that the second section of the Twenty-First Amendment (which prohibits the importing of alcohol in violation of state law) permits this type of regulation. Read more here.
