Supreme Court Considers Taking Up Online Sales-Tax Case

In this op-ed, David Herzig notes that Supreme Court precedent holds that online sellers do not have to collect sales taxes in states where they do not have a physical presence. South Dakota has asked the Supreme Court to re-examine this issue. Herzig writes that there are compelling reasons for the Court to take up the case and rule that online vendors should be required to collect sales taxes. Read more here.
