Following in the wake of several ongoing federal investigations, nearly all the states are pursuing antitrust probes against Google and Facebook. In support of this, Texas attorney general Ken Paxton writes in the Wall Street Journal that although the internet may have transformed the world into a global village, Google became “that village’s gatekeeper and use[d] its power to become the wealthiest person in town” (password required).
