State Immigration Action Still Elevated

Ann Morse of the National Conference of State Legislatures’s Immigrant Policy Project reports that states have enacted slightly fewer immigration-related bills in the first half of 2018 than in 2017, but the number is still more than usual. She notes that the high number of state-level bills bucks the usual trend of fewer such bills when there is more immigration-related action at the federal level. Read more here.
