A federal district judge in Texas heard arguments Wednesday about the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act in the wake of Congress’s repeal of the law’s individual mandate tax in 2017. The twenty Republican-led states contend that the ACA is illegitimate because, in a 2012 ruling, the Supreme Court had based its upholding of the ACA in part because of the tax. Read more here.
