A Mexican-born Georgia legislature candidate, Maria Palacios, has been excluded from the race because the state’s constitution requires candidates to be a “citizen” of Georgia for two years. Palacios has been a legal resident of the state since 2009 and a U.S. citizen since 2017. Read more here.
