The U.S. attorney’s office of Colorado and the Denver field office of the Drug Enforcement Administration have issued a joint letter to the city of Denver warning that the city’s plans to open a supervised injection site will run afoul of federal law. The city, one of several planning to open such a site, hopes that the program will reduce the number of drug overdoses. Read more here.
