A federal district judge in California has ruled that the Trump administration’s recent use of the military in California violates laws that have been in place for more than a century. The court indicated that the administration had failed to prove that a rebellion existed or that “civilian law enforcement [was] unable to respond to the protests and enforce the law” (password required).
