DOJ Releasing More Funds to Sanctuary Jurisdictions

The U.S. Department of Justice is releasing 2017 public safety funds to some so-called sanctuary cities that have refused to cooperate with the federal government’s immigration policies. The cities receiving the funds are part of two lawsuits brought against the DOJ. Jurisdictions not part of these two legal actions are still required to demonstrate compliance with the DOJ’s additional immigration-related requirements before receiving any funds. Read more here.
