Some states with legal marijuana have enacted laws prohibiting employers from discrimination in hiring against people who have used cannabis legally. Employers who have federal contracts or employees licensed by federal agencies, however, are required by federal law to test for cannabis and certify they have a drug-free workplace (password required).
