Colorado voters have amended their constitution to abolish slavery by removing language that bans slavery “except as a punishment for crime.” The Colorado provision had echoed language in the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Among other things, the Center publishes Publius: The Journal of Federalism and provides grants for scholarly research on federalism.
