The Brennan Center for Justice has published a series of case summaries of recently filed lawsuits challenging the Commerce Department’s decision to add a citizenship question to the U.S. Census. Fifteen Republican state attorneys general have filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court urging the justices allow the inclusion of a citizenship question.
